frequently asked questions

When can I use your crop area?
Most of the time, our crop area is free to use.  We always recommend that you call first to check, especially when coming from any distance.  Weekdays are almost always open, and even on weeknights and weekends, we can usually accommodate croppers even during classes.  Seats in the crop area are available first-come, first served.  You can always call to reserve our crop area for either a large or a small group of people as long as another crop or event is not already scheduled!  Be sure to check out our scheduled crops on Friday evenings (with the exception of holidays) and every third Saturday of the month (except in the summer!) by clicking on the “crops” button on our homepage for more information about the price, times, dates, and what these crops entail!

Can I get my punch cards combined?
Absolutely!  And if, when combined, they equal a full card, you are welcome to use it immediately.  Once full, your cards are worth $10 and are available for use toward your next purchase.

I lost a gift certificate.  Can you replace it for me?
Unfortunately, we cannot. We don’t keep records that would allow us to do that.  Gift certificates are like cash – protect them!

I need something that you don’t carry in your store…Can you order it for me?
It depends.  It would be most helpful if you could provide us with as much information about the product as you possibly can.  If we can get it from a vendor that we currently do business with, then we probably can.  In any case, always feel free to check with us and we will do whatever we can to see if we can make this product available to you!

I am making my own invitations and need to order a lot of cardstock and vellum.  How fast can you get it for me?
It may not be necessary for us to place a special order, as we back-stock a fair amount of cardstock and vellum.  However, if we do not have what you need in stock, we will do whatever we can to get it as quickly as possible.  Of course, the earlier we begin the process, the better the chances are that we’ll have what you need when you need it.

I can’t make it to the crop/class that I signed up for.  Now what?
Call us as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it.  For Friday night crops, if you call at least 48 hours in advance, you will be given a credit toward another crop.  For Power Crops and Event Crops, a full week’s notice is required in order to receive a credit.   In regards to classes, a kit can be provided for most classes in the event that you’re unable to attend.  If a kit is not possible, you will be given credit toward another class if adequate notice is given.

I’m from out of town.  Is it worth making the long trip to see your store?
Are you kidding?! You won’t believe your eyes when you walk in the door!  We have about 6,000 sq. feet of store space, and it is packed full of just about everything you can imagine from almost every manufacturer on the market!  You’ll find Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp, EK, KI Memories, Making Memories, Daisy D’s, BoBunny, Autumn Leaves, 7Gypsies, Junkitz, Crate Paper, Sandylion (Disney, Blues Clues, Dora, Thomas the Train, etc.), Hero arts, Paper Salon, Savvy Stamps, Imagination Project, Provocraft, QuicKutz, Doodlebug, Prima, Technique Tuesday, Fontwerks, Bazzill, and much, much more!!  If you’ve even heard of it, chances are we’ve got it!!

I’m a brand new scrapbooker and feeling overwhelmed!  Where do I begin?
Our staff is always more than happy to answer any questions you might have when you come in to the store, so please, ask! The best thing for a beginner, however, is to start with our Scrapbooking 101 class – it includes all of the information you’ll need to get started, and you’ll even make your first complete layout during the class.  Once you’re comfortable, you can choose to move on to Scrapbooking 201 and 301 – slightly more advanced classes that will help you add some fresh, new techniques while helping you complete two more complete two-page layouts. These classes are a great way to become acquainted with our store, our staff, and a craft that you’re sure to love!

I need help with my scrapbook pages.  If I come in, can someone help me?
We would love to help you with your scrapbook pages! There is a chance, however, that we may not have the ability to give your project the time and attention it deserves if the store is especially busy. We’ll always do our very best to answer any questions you might have or to offer advice when asked, but if you have a larger project that you could use help with, or a special page that requires some “expert” advice, feel free to give us a call at the store and we’ll do our best to arrange a time to get you the help you need.

I have a suggestion or comment.  Who should I leave it with?
Every member of our staff is more than qualified to address any issue that you might have. If it is a matter that requires special attention, you are welcome to have them forward a message to our store’s management team.

What do you have available to use in your crop area?
Not only do we have some great tools, but we also have a microwave, a water cooler, a Pepsi machine and a snack machine! But as far as scrapbooking supplies go, we’ve got a Sizzix machine and a Sidekick, along with an alphabet to use with each, a Quickutz handtool and several alphabets (all of which can be used at the front counter), a variety of decorative-edged scissors, some paper trimmers, and an assortment of scrapbooking magazines and idea books for inspiration!

Can I bring my child/baby with me to classes and crops?
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate babies or young children at classes or crops. If your child is old enough to participate in a crop, you are more than welcome to sign him or her up. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult as we cannot be responsible for keeping an eye on those who attend our crops. Some classes are appropriate for younger scrapbookers, so we encourage you to speak with the instructor of the specific class in which you are interested to determine whether or not your child is old enough to participate. We desire that our classes and crops be fun and peaceful for you and your friends, allowing you to relax, unwind and be inspired.  For this reason, and for the benefit of those around you, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing young children to classes and crops with you.  We appreciate your cooperation.

I’m involved in a fundraiser for ______________ and I’m wondering if you’d be able to make a donation toward our cause?
Pages In Time is involved with several non-profit organizations in the area and has been a proud supporter of these types of causes over the years. We receive many such appeals every week, so we are required to be very selective.  The best way to make such a request is in writing, either through the mail or by dropping off printed information that our Management Team can review at their convenience.  Please include very specific information in regards to what your cause is, what type of donation you are looking for, how it will be used, and by what date it would be needed. You will be contacted if a decision has been made in support of your event.

I saw something in a magazine that I HAVE to have! Do you have it?
The most important thing you need to know about this question is that we probably do! And if we don’t it’s probably because it’s not yet available. Magazines often advertise things that haven’t yet been released by the manufacturer – they love to get all of us all worked up over something we can’t yet get our hands on! Once it becomes available, chances are very good that you’ll be able to find whatever it is at Pages In Time, so stop in or give us a call and we’ll fill you in on everything we know about it!
